Principal’s Corner

In a small school, the community is built up over generations. We believe that here at St. Joseph School, the roots are deep, the traditions are long-held, and the relationships are strong and solid. We find it most comforting to know that the ideals and values of the ancestors who built our school and church are still present in our families and school today. It would be my pleasure to welcome you to our FAMILY!

There is much so much to be love about SJS. I love the faithful environment that permeates the life of a St. Joseph School student. Jesus is the reason for our school, and we proclaim that each day. We love seeing our families at Mass each weekend and have one of the highest Mass attendance in our Diocese. Our faith can not only be seen, but can be felt, as soon as you arrive at St. Joseph. It is a living, integral part of our school life. We work, play, think, and pray together. What a special place to spend the day!

In addition to our faithful environment, I love the community that has been built over generations. Almost 140 years ago, our ancestors envisioned a place where children would learn in a place where Jesus is present every day, where morals and values are present, and where spiritual and academic excellence thrive. Today, we are proud to continue that mission and grow as a family. Life at SJS can be summed up in one word….FAMILY. No matter whom you might ask….parents, students, or faculty, we all agree that we are FAMILY formed in faith, joined in love, and kept by God.

Thank you for visiting our website here at St. Joseph School. I am so honored to be the principal and look forward to my 18th year at SJS. Making a decision for your child’s faith life and education is one of the most important decisions you will ever make. I would be honored to help you make that decision. Please contact me with any questions or to set up a tour at Blueribbonprincipal@stjoeschool.com.

Many Blessings,

“Every morning that I watch my children step through the doors of St Joseph School, I stop and say a thank-you prayer to the Lord for blessing my children with the opportunity to grow spiritually, socially, and academically in a place where He is working through every teacher and administrator. I look forward to that moment each morning when I can feel Him take them by the hand and walk through those doors to a place that is more than just a school. ”

“Parenting children to become ethical, confident, self-disciplined, healthy, happy, and spiritual individuals is a challenge. The challenge increases when your children spend the better part of the day at school. For this reason, we took choosing a school for our children very seriously. We want our kids to be among others we trust who share similar ideas and beliefs to those of our own. We feel confident St. Joseph School was our answer. Everyday our children are provided with an education of the whole person, and undoubtedly, are loved and cared for by family…our St. Joseph family.”

“For nine years, our children attended this school and received an outstanding academic and religious education that was second to none. With the dedicated service of the laity staff and the exposure to Catholicism, their education was rich in tradition. Due to the strong academic and spiritual foundation constructed at SJS, always to be reinforced at church and home, the twins are thriving in all aspects at Providence High School.   More importantly, the small class sizes and personal attention that they received at SJS reinforced all of the values that we sought to instill. They differentiated from right and wrong and revered a sense of kindness and goodness that still permeates their lives. They established early a strong work ethic and learned to work hard to achieve their highest potential. They made life-long friends. They experienced first-hand the sense of belonging to a close-knit Catholic community, as well as, the benefits and responsibilities of being of being members of such a community. The experiences here at St. Joseph have profoundly impacted our lives.”

“Through everything that St. Joseph community has done for and meant to our family, it has required nothing from us. If we had not been able to afford tuition, St. Joseph would have provided it. If we could not contribute to the Sunday collection, we would have still been welcomed. Where else in life can you receive so much without anything required in return? The selflessness of the faculty, administration and parish staff is an example of what really is most important in life. No matter how involved we continue to be in the St. Joseph community, it will never equal the value of what we have received. But we will continue to be active, both to show our gratitude by helping others, as well as to continue to benefit from the grace and community that has been so important to our lives.”   Through everything that St. Joseph community has done for and meant to our family, it has required nothing from us.
